our supervsor decided to be nice and tried to give us all half day off, by getting everyone to work half-day and finish the required rooms earlier. Due to some irritating off-roaders who decided to check out late, most of us ended work closer to 1pm rather than the expected 12n. we even missed the parade which started at 12n across the street at Tok Lodge Bar, cos we were all rushing to finish our rooms asap and were sacrificing our dinner time. =(
Someone in the restuarant hold a party at her place and invited everyone, including live-ins. But we din saw anyone when we showed at the the hotel at the stated time.
=((
We walked 2mile to Dog Musher Hall hoping to catch whatever is left of the 4th July fair/events but all the stalls were gone. so is the float that we've missed during the parade. Mud bogging race and still going on but it wasn't as exciting as what i've imagined. after awhile, we start to get bored. Shiwen suggested taking photos on the vacant stage. After numerous attempts on the tmer setting with her Nikon D40 and my Canon ixus850i, this is what we got.
actually the above pictures are all from my cam cos i havt get those fr shiwen yet. have the chance.will post it up when i have the chance.
Anyway after all the malu-ness on the stage, we went to Roxy's mum stall around the area jus opposite fast eddie. it was their opening day and we have to support her. even though it means forgoing our long planned Salmon Bake for more mexican food. Not that mexican food is not nice, just that we can have it everyday on employees dinner menu. But i guess Roxy's mum version will taste quite diff. Yummie!
Beside the small stall is a medium size gazebo that is decorated to gve a mexican feel.
Waiting for our food..
4th july is America's independence day.

High on Seafod!
It was raining heavily during dinner time and Mei & Christina volunteered to help us collect our dinner in the rain.
Presenting the dinner heroes...
around 9plus I was informed that we've seafood waiting for us in the kitchen. Ditty bought it during his last fairbanks trip and was cooking it for us in the restuarant kitchen! He's god-send.
It's was heaven. the shrimp was big and succulent, but the alaskan king crab was my fav! sweet~
there wasn't a lot (not cheap wor), plus the fact that it was so GOOD, we weren't really ready to end supper jus like tt. we were all high. on seafood. Miller lite, red wine and smirnoff were just to complement the delicious supper.
